Adam Hart Davis and Munsell Colour Tree
Celebrity Opening for Exhibition
The historian and broadcaster, Adam Hart-Davis, and the Deputy Lady Mayoress of Bradford declared the new Colour Technology and Colour Communication exhibition designed and developed by Heritage Multimedia Ltd officially open.

Having cut the ribbon, Adam took the opportunity to explore the exhibition and try out the interactives first hand. He praised the museum for promoting the role of colour in day-to-day life, explaining, "This is the headquarters of the colour world. It is such an important part of our lives but people do not think of it scientifically".

The celebrations also marked the museums 25th birthday and included a full day of events. Adam Hart-Davis (noted for his television programmes 'What the Victorians did for us' and 'Science Shack') also unveiled a specially commissioned commemorative plaque and treated guests to a presentation on the theme of light. Adam 'illuminated' visitors with his personal heroes of light and their achievements, including John Tyndall, who discovered why the sky is blue.

"The aim of the day was not only to celebrate 25 years of education through the Colour Museum, but to demonstrate the various forms that education can take to our stakeholders, supporters and interested parties." - Colour Museum Curator.
